Course on ancient painting procedures

The course on ancient painting procedures, held by prof. Alfredo Tigani, figurative painter and lecturer at theAccademia di Belle Arti di Venezia, has as its objective the enhancement of classical Venetian painting, in particular that of Venice.

What will be studied in depth during the course?

The research is inspired by the principles of classical art, and takes into consideration various aspects: 

  • composition, 
  • shape analysis, 
  • visual perception, Gestalt, 
  • color theory, perspective.

The laboratory practice is carried out with the techniques of oil painting and of thewatercolor. The drawing (also in function of visual-perceptive and graph-motor control) is carried out with various techniques: pencil, brush tip, pastel.

When and where are the art lessons held?

The lessons are held from October to June at Palazzo delle Prigioni Nove in Venice..
